Laureen Hylka - 2017 Artist in Residence
The Cape Ann Residency was created by the Charles Family Foundation, in collaboration with the Cape Ann Museum and Boston's Copley Society of Art, dedicated to promoting the art communities of the North Shore and Boston.
The residency offers to embrace the artistc aesthetic of the North Shore, the abundance of painters and beautiful plein air locations in Rockport, Annisquam, Gloucester, and Essex. Moreover, it also aids artists to explore new painting techniques, as well as to meet the North Shore's most recognized painters
The Copley Society gives its artist members the oppurtunity to apply for residency. This September, Laureen Hylka was selected to be the artist in residence.
